Proyecto Chacocente, Masaya, Nicaragua
Project Chacocente began as a relocation project, moving eight families from living inside the Managua city dump to a rural community outside of Masaya. After completing a five year re-training and community life skills program, the families received title to their homes and land. Today, Project Chacocente continues to maintain Chacocente Christian Academy, a school for k-12th grade, serving 150 students. The current Board of Directors are looking for opportunities to improve the living conditions of those in the surrounding community. We are currently planning a mission trip for the summer of 2017.
Pastor Jim Nathan is a former President of the Board of Direcors and CEO of Project Chacocente.
